Pennant Week 4 / Qualifier Program of Events  (Timeline, order and side) - Available Friday 19 March

The 2020/21 Diving Victoria Pennant is a series of competitions suited to all levels of divers from beginners through to open; it provides competition experience and the opportunity for divers to monitor their progress through the season.  Divers must be registered as financial members of Diving Victoria to compete. Divers may compete on Springboard (either 1m or 3m).  Some weeks will also offer exhibition events such as: Synchro, Team Events, Skills Events.

Structure for this event

• Divers may choose to compete Pennant Levels 1-5 OR enter the Qualifier - but not both
• Pennant divers may enter the level they are ready for (do NOT need to follow the level they were in last season)
• Divers entering the Qualifier may dive in Springboard (either 1m OR 3m) and Platform.  They may dive their Age Group, Junior Group or Open, but not Open and age/jr.
• If qualifier divers do not have enough dives for their Age-group, they may still enter and compete with less dives, but they will not be able to qualify for nationals if a qualifying score is achieved.

Changes for 20/21

• Late entries will only incur an additional fee, they will not have to dive "by invitation"
• Dive sheets must still be submitted before 9am Thursday.  Changes via DiveRecorder will now be accepted until 9am Friday without penalty.  Divers may not change to a new board, they may only make changes to an existing sheet.  Any changes made AFTER 9am Friday must be requested to the competition manager (info@divingvictoria.com.au) and approved by the Cheif Referee.  If approved, the diver will dive by invitation in that event.

• If you have registered for Pennant Week 5/Qualifier but would like to ADD AN EVENT, you can now do that directly through the system (you will not be charged the registration fee again).  If you add an event to an existing registration late (after the entry deadline, but before the late entry deadline), you can now do that online too ($28/event)

Registration & Event Fee:  Registration $23 + $13 /event

Entry Deadline:  Sunday 14 March

Late Registration: Wednesday 17 March

Dive Requirements:  2020/21 Pennant Criteria, National Qualifying Criteria

Eligibility:

• Divers must be registered as financial members of Diving Victoria to compete
• Participation Divers may compete in Pennant Levels 1 and 2 
• State Level Divers, Pennant Level Divers & Coaches may compete Pennant levels 3-5
• Only State Level Divers may compete in the Qualifier
• Divers may upgrade their membership by logging into their account and selecting UPGRADE, members of Ringwood or MEDA must complete their upgrade from the clubs website
• Qualifiers must compete how old they will be on 31 December 2021

Dive Sheets:  Due via Dive Recorder before 9am Thursday 18 March

Aquanation Entry Fee:  Competitors, Officials & Spectators: Free.  All competitors and Spectators must complete the QR code on entry to the facility

SATURDAY 20 March

• Sign in from 8:00AM
• Warm-up 8:00-8:45AM, 8:45 for Pennant divers only
• Event Begins 9:00AM
• Catering: TBD

There will be 3 Pennants this season the dates are:

Pennant 4.  Saturday 13 February 2021- Postponed

Pennant 5.  Saturday 20 March 2021 - entries close Sunday 14 March (Aquanation)

Pennant 4 (rescheduled).  Saturday 15 May 2021 - entries close Sunday 9 May (MSAC)

Pennant 6.  Sunday 20 June 2021 -   entries close Sunday 13 June (Aquanation)

These dates may be changed as necessary

Dive Sheets are due via DiveRecorder by 9am Thursday BEFORE EACH EVENT
